Is Obama Getting Ideas From Honduras' President's Refusal To Be Term Limited?

The Honduran army kicked out leftist President Manuel Zelaya who was elected in 2006 for one 4 year term, but intended to maneuver stay on the job after 2010. Having goals in mind similar to those of Barack Obama, Zelaya has not finished converting his country into the paradise that other countries under Marxist dictatorships have produced.

Many of us are outraged that Barack Obama joined his leftist/communist friends in the Organization of American States, the UN, and Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro in condemning what is in reality a refusal of the people of Honduras to fall under unending leftist dictatorship that currently subjugates both Venezuela and Cuba. In the pre-Zelaya era, Honduras used to be friendly to the United States, but not since 2006.

Staying in office beyond an original term limit would be very appealing to Obama. After all, there are so many more ways that he can transform our country into his own image, something that the founding fathers would not even recognize. If he can push through something as harmful to the country as Cap and Trade, ending his term limit under the 22nd Amendment will be mere child's play.

Obama continues to not act in our country's best interests and still apologizes for America at every opportunity. But his apologies and actions against our best interests do not reflect the heartbeat of this country. He continues to tear down principles such as self reliance, self determination, and free enterprise that helped make the United States the country of which we are proud.

Elections do have consequences, whether here or in other countries. The United States' enemies, and we have many, perceive us as weak now that Obama is at the helm of the ship of state. He is steering this ship of...

You know, I used to think this couldn’t happen here, but now I am not so sure. I think our Democratic Congress would go along with it. And I wonder how many sheeple would.

No, I think he’s had this idea all along.

Two things and only two things will wake up Americans:

-They lose their money
-They lose their freedom

Sad to say, but they are the only ways the sheeple will truly open their eyes.

The Hondurans figured out that their freedom was much easier to maintain than to try to regain.

It’s not just the “sheeple”. You can’t get a conservative to leave work for 15 minutes to rally or perform a task any other task that would further the conservative cause.

the army didn’t kick him out. The Court, Congress, and the attorney general did, the army simply acted on the constitutionally correct order.

Yes. It is EXTREMELY difficult to extract one of these violent, self-serving autocratic tyrants from the seat of power once they achieve a certain critical mass. It is OH SO SWEET on the rare occasions they are overthrown.

Next thing is this: Remember how the Left whined about Iraq in 2003 and 2004 that "we invaded a sovereign nation?" Watch closely anything that transpires in Honduras from Chavez, and U.S. response to the same.

And what if they didn’t? In Honduras, the congress voted to send him packing, the supreme court ruled that he was in violation of the constitution and needed to be removed, and yet Obama says it was “illegal”.

Well, if our house and senate voted to remove the President because they violated the constitution, and the supreme court agreed that they had that right, would Obama still say it was “illegal”?

I think Obama (ptui!) is scared shirtless about us citizens seeing that a sitting president is capable of being ousted from office forceably when he breaks the law.
