Rasmussen--America Says Tax & Trade Bill Will Hurt Economy,
Rasmussen/ The Lid ^ | 6/30/09 | The Lid

America is speaking out, but will the government listen? In a Rasmussen Poll released today, only 19% of US voters feel that the unread bill that passed the house on Friday will help the economy. Guess the people aren't drinking the Presidential Kool-aid about the bill producing jobs because 42% feel the Cap-and-Tax bill will hurt the economy. In fact the only ones who support, believe in the global warming measures are those who Identify themselves as democrats.

The force feeding of Cap and Trade may be having an effect on the Presidents ratings, because Rasmussen also reports Obama's approval vs. non approval index has dropped down to the low -2 level that has only been seen once during his 6 months in office:

The POLS don’t care. They only care about themselves.

The correct message got out.

This is why Dems in the House are worried about their votes and their re-election prospects in 2010.

Also, this bodes well for a defeat in the Senate.

Keep the pressure up!

Come on, we all know that Barry and company pay no attention to polls let alone the will of the people when it does not suit their interests....

[42% feel the Cap-and-Tax bill will hurt the economy.]

That percent in not nearly high enough. This bill will do more than hurt the U.S. economy. It will devastate it.

I almost want it to pass. The economic devastation will be so profound that there will be no denying who and what did it.

Liberalism, introduced in the middle of the night in thousands of pages in each bill, denied debate or even proper review, rammed through to the American people whether they want it or not.

That begs the question; Given the technique these bills (stimulus, cap and trade, probably gun control) are being passed, you have to wonder if the Dems KNOW they would not pass of their own merit, and possibly have some rather evil additions they don’t want us to know about.

Things may get worse before they get better, but ultimately this vampire of liberalism has to be dragged out into the sunlight.

I don’t know why what I am seeing that is different. But, i am looking at the chart from Club for Growth showing which states will hurt and I am seeing something else. For instance in my state of Georgia it will cost 369 million per year. Divided by 9,000,000 residents that come out to just less than 40 dollars per person. Other states are really about the same. If this is true than no one will likely even feel it. It would also be to small to even make a difference from the Dem point of view(curtailing carbon). I have heard some lib’s calling these number that have been flashed around by our side as bogus and based on what I am seeing they probably are. Then again maybe I am not seeing something.
