General Electric Major Recipient Of TARP Loans
Washington Post/The Lid ^ | 6/29/09 | The Lid

It pays to be in the tank for the president. All of the "tinkle down my leg" news coverage is paying off big for NBC News' parent company. By taking advantage of its ownership of two tiny banks in Utah, GE has been able to issue $80 Billion dollars worth of federally backed loans about one out of every four dollars available in the program.

And true to being a friend of the President, General Electric didn't have to go through any of the burdens other participants had to go through like the financial stress test. Nor did they have to worry about any those pesky salary/compensation limits so Jeffrey Immelt and the senior management don't have to worry about the 14-18,000 in compensation they make.

Read on and learn why its good to be a friend of the King

That's OK - GE is ALSO the ONLY company able to write and exchange Pelosi’s Cap-and-Trade coupons for Obama......

Now, who do you think sponsored THAT little piece of corruption in the bill?

Yes, GE will be a huge winner in the taxpayer-funded Cap & Tax lottery if the Senate passes it. We need to begin badgering our Senators now, so they are not even tempted to pass this boondoggle.

NBC, MSNBC and CNBC plus universal. Boycott.

I bought a refrig recently and would NEVER buy General Electric. I was not buying any Chinese Haier crap or Korean Samsung or LG. I bought a Whirlpool.

Surprised? No. They are the American version of the Krupp Corporation.

It's good to see at least some of the media covering this, but annoying that they're still too afraid to mention the real scandal (Pelosi and other congressmen have significant shares in GE and were using TARP to transfer money from the treasury to themselves).

They're doing the same thing with the Carbon tax bill (GE will get billions of dollars of "carbon credits" for free that their competitors will have to buy at government auction).

GE is evil. Between Imelt, Zucker at NBC and all the wackos lobbying to get the cap and tax bill passed, they are looking to take billions of tax dollars. I say we boycott everything GE. No GE lighbulbs, no NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, no Universal Studios entertainment. Stop supporting GE and GE’s advertisers on TV. Hit them where it hurts. In the wallet.
