Honduras Soldiers seized the national palace and flew President Manuel Zelaya into exile Sunday, hours before a disputed constitutional referendum. Congress appointed a successor, but Zelaya, a leftist ally of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, said he was the victim of an illegal coup.

Interesting ... they are “horrible people” according to Obama, yet they let the guy live and even flew him to exile.
Honduras is an emerging wholesale narcoeconomy.
Seriously.
THIS IS NOT A COUP! The man tried to pull a Chavez and got smacked down by the Honduran Congress, the Honduran Supremes, and even members of his own party.
Exactly right. And, once again, the Obama administration is taking the side of a tyrant.
So if you have an election and find out its rigged BO won’t support you.
But if you choose to enforce the law BO throws you under the bus.
In the days of Jimmy Carter, there was a coup in Guatemala, a Civil War broke out in El Salvador, a WAR in Nicaragua, the Panama Canal given away, and hostages taken in Iran. Not much strength displayed. I don’t know that America really made any friends by doing nothing.
That Hildabeast and Hussein see nothing wrong with that road, we will see what happens next.
The Honduran President tried to change their Constitution by referendum, something which isn't allowed. The Honduran Congress and the Honduran Courts all agreed and basically impeached and removed this clown.
The Honduran Military was ordered by the Honduran Supreme Court to remove this joker and deport him.
All of this was done exactly as Honduran law requires.
And Obama wants him reinstated? Is that about it?
Near as I can tell that’s exactly it. Maybe 0bama is hoping for the guy’s support when it’s his turn to try to be proclaimed President for Life.
I hope the Honduran security forces are ready for trouble. It is likely that “El Supremo”, there, moved a number of Venezuelan and Cuban troublemakers into the country prior to the “referendum”, to do the ACORN bit. If so, they need to be escorted back out of Honduras ASAP.
5. It has been confirmed that an unusual number of Nicaraguan people have crossed the border to Honduras without a definite return date; this as a strategy to have quorum during the inquiry.
Honduras Crisis: Zelaya Is A Threat To Our Democracy
I suppose these Nicaraguans could also fill in as street thugs.
"Operating from Nicaragua, FARC fighters could easily cross the border into Honduras and inflict a great amount of suffering and death.""

IF YOU AREN’T LIBERAL OR MARXIST YOU BETTER READ THIS:
The following was published in the Christian Science Monitor by Octavio Sánchez, a lawyer, and a former presidential adviser (2002-05) and minister of culture (2005-06) of the Republic of Honduras:
.. On June 26, President Zelaya issued a decree ordering all government employees to take part in the Public Opinion Poll to convene a National Constitutional Assembly. In doing so, Zelaya triggered a constitutional provision that automatically removed him from office .. His actions showed intent ..
According to Article 239 [of the Honduras Constitution]: No citizen who has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President. Whoever violates this law or proposes its reform , as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, will immediately cease in their functions and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.
Notice that the article speaks about intent and that it also says immediately as in instant, as in no trial required, as in no impeachment needed.
Continuismo the tendency of heads of state to extend their rule indefinitely has been the lifeblood of Latin Americas authoritarian tradition. The Constitutions provision of instant sanction might sound draconian, but every Latin American democrat knows how much of a threat to our fragile democracies continuismo presents. In Latin America, chiefs of state have often been above the law. The instant sanction of the supreme law has successfully prevented the possibility of a new Honduran continuismo.
The Supreme Court and the attorney general ordered Zelayas arrest for disobeying several court orders compelling him to obey the Constitution. He was detained and taken to Costa Rica. Why? Congress needed time to convene and remove him from office. With him inside the country that would have been impossible. This decision was taken by the 123 (of the 128) members of Congress present that day.
Dont believe the coup myth. The Honduran military acted entirely within the bounds of the Constitution. The military gained nothing but the respect of the nation by its actions
