As I have done several times, an instructive way to learn about what might happen if we are so foolish as to institute a national healthcare program like the one president Obama wants is to look to those unfortunate nations that have already trod that path. To understand what could happen here we need to hear from those leaders elsewhere that once thought they had the solutions that Obama seeks.

One such man is Claude Castonguay of Canada, a man that championed national healthcare for his country when that nation first began to explore the concept. It was full speed ahead as far as Castonguay was concerned. He too thought it an emergency.

it’s goign to go throuhg regardless of how devestating it will be to our country- Obama wants it, and what Obama wants, Obama gets- period! The facts, the science, and the cries of alarm will do nothign to deter this president or htis congress.

A commentator this am made a very good point (not that it will do one bit of good, but it was a good point nonetheless) that Obama said that the american people will ‘now be able to choose, if htey so desire, the same coverage that members of congress now enjoy’ however, MOST Americans will still NOT be able to afford the coverage and plans that congres gets, and infact, congress is exempt from being required to pick up the coverage that MOST Americans will be getting- and if the govenrment mandated plans for hte public are so wonderful and great- then why not mandate that every member of congress be REQUIRED to drop their current fabulous coverage, and be REQUIRED to pick up the insurance that most member of society will be forced to get, and for congress to pick this coverage up for hteir families as well- IF, after a coupel of years the plan is as wonderful as Obama tells us it is, and congress is enjoying good coverage and care, then let hte american people choose to get htis coverage- But nope- Congress is EXEMPT from beign required to pick up the crappy universal health coverage Obama is forcing on e rest of us!

Here-with all due respect-is a plan that is almost never mentioned:

One of the big objections (understandably) is that healthcare providers would be on salary. (On the other hand, they would not have to invest huge sums in offices, malpractice insurance, etc.)
