Very true. Last week, Iran was the big story. Now, it’s Michael Jackson, all the time.
And the cap and fraud thing got passed with very little attention by the media (although they’d probably ignore it in any case).

Fox has returned to its roots. Tabloid TV. Hannity is a ratings whore.
This is exactly the case. The sheep look in one direction, and the thugocracy steal us blind in the other.
I hate to say it, but sometimes I feel like they set up fake left/right arguments, but in a way to get things passed while making each side feel they “did something”.
Look at the patriot act and the bailouts, they passed easily. The dems yelled about the Patriot act to make their base feel better, but voted for it. The GOP cries about the bailouts, but a lot voted for it.
I’ve come to realize the patriot act and Dept. of Homeland Security was a mistake. Why? Corruption. Even if it was/is used correctly for a decade, it gives more power to the Feds that will have mission “creep”. Just like everyone knew would happen with the Dept of Education.
Now the Patriot Act, DHS and “cybersecurity” is going to shift to “domestic” terror.
Gee, I wonder what definition they’ll come up with.
You can’t give the Federal Govt ANY opening.
Don’t get me started on the Federal Reserve.
It’s exactly what they are doing. The media are obsessing on the MJ fad and burying the big story - the new energy tax bill
Notice how the bailout bills were designed to capture just enough GOP votes to make the theft “bipartisan”.
Same with the bill to send the remainder of US manufacturing overseas (”cap and trade”). The 8 GOP votes for the bill could have stopped it.
