Journalistic Malpractice is an understatement....

That says it all... but then journalistic malpractice is what NBC news is all about.

Not too surprising, considering that their parent company is going to get several billion dollars worth of "carbon credits" for free that they can resell to others (who don't have the political connections to get the government handout).

Nancy Pelosi (and several other Congressmen) owns quite a bit of GE stock. They just cut themselves a check from the Federal treasury on national television, and got away with it.

And it isn't the first time. She also personally profited from the AIG bailout (she had about $500K of AIG stock).

We've become a third-world kleptocracy.

Easy. Money. NBC, for example, is mostly owned by GE. GE will be one of the companies that gets "carbon credits" for free, the excess of which, if they don't use, they can sell for possibly several billion dollars (since their competitors must otherwise buy them at government auction).

FWIW, most of the congresspeople who voted for this legislation own stock in the companies that will benefit from the handouts. They just paid themselves a huge bribe out of the treasury.

Gotta’ keep it below the radar. Wouldn’t want the sheeple to get too much info about this and start raising a ruckus.

They are all criminals and should be impeached and tried.

But they won't be. The days of "rule of law" are over.

Also please note the silence of the hypocritical Left. When Haliburton was getting contracts in Iraq (which were necessary for the war effort and they were one of the few companies capable of doing the work), the Left screamed about the conflict of interest from Cheney's former holdings. But when leftwing Congressmen do far worse (direct transfers of money into their accounts, without any exchange for goods or services), for a cause that is not only unnecessary but actively harmful to the US (both economy and environment), they suddenly don't think it is a problem.

When slightly over half the country consists of leeches feeding upon the other half, there is no way any "democratic" process can possibly resolve the issue.

The Republic is dead.
