The Toxicity of President Obama
The Provocateur ^ | 06/27/2009 | Mike Volpe

Congressman Mark Kirk was an up and comer in the state of Illinois. He represents the well to do area of the North Shore of Chicago. (for full disclosure he's the rep to my parents) In 2008, Kirk, while targeted by Democrats, won fairly easily in his re election campaign. He's been on the short list as potential GOP candidates for both the U.S. Senate campaign and even the Governorship. All that talk may have ended yesterday when Kirk crossed the line and voted in favor of cap and trade. He has now done something sacreligious in Republican circles.

Well it sure doesn’t endear him to most Republicans. We see that he believes this Al Gore global warming stuff.

He frustrates me that 8 Republicans voted for this thing.

The vote was 219 to 212. The 8 Republicans provided the margin of victory for Nancy Pelosi to save the planet.

44 Democrats abandoned Nancy Pelosi and voted no.

I sure hope this thing fails in the Senate. I don’t know when they will vote on it. But Obama will be ready to sign this stupid legislation. I hope he doesn’t get his chance to fight global warming.

We have to start calling the Senate as soon as they get back from their break. We have to call them everyday until the vote.

Obama will soon be toxic in Dem circles as well.

Do not forget that Al Gore stayed away from DC, during this last vote. Al Gore was “toxic” and would hurt the chances for this legislation.

Obama will not be invited to campaign for many of the Dems, next year.

Obama will be the “kiss of death” and the smart Dems will stay away from him!

No, Republicans provided 4% of the victory, the other 96% were Democrats.

It's up to us to make sure that doesn't happen. People need to flood Senators Monday and every day thereafter with phone calls, faxes and emails. We need to steal a page out of the socialist playbook by being aggressive and never relenting. Below are two toll free numbers are below.

Three documents came out VERY late in the game on this debate:

1) A 300+ page "manager's amendment" that was added to the bill at 3:09am the day of the House vote. Not only was this a voluminous add-on, it is a scary document. How will local governments be able to afford the extra staff to enforce the new and very confusing building code laws. The bill also radically modifies international trade rules.

2) A suppressed and censored report from our own EPA exposes many problems with the theories and "consensus" of the populist (and now debunked) theory of global warming, and the true (and minimal) affect of human activity on the climate. The suppressed EPA report is linked here:

http://cei.org/news-release/2009/06/25/cei-releases-global-warming-study-censored-epa

3) A report from the Chicago-based Heartland Institute summarized the Non-Governmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) that attempts to use scientific and rational arguments to identify exactly what is going on in the climate and the true impact of human activity. The recently released NIPCC report is found here:

Kusinich and others who voted against did so because the bill was not Communist ENOUGH for them!

My guess is that the Communists who voted against this would have vote FOR it, if they thought their vote was needed.

I think that might be 2 or 3 of the Dems.

Congress passes the biggest tax increase, and freedom killing bill in history, and all the media can talk about is a dead junkie child molester.

Goddbye sweet America.

Yesterday, the GOP had the opportunity to say, “No you can’t”. Once again, in true GOP fashion, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

That’s true but, two Arizona ‘RATS (Kirkpatrick and Mitchell) got away with voting “NO” because the eight Ratpublicans had their back. If these two Arizona ‘RATS had voted “Yes”, they would have been toast in 2010. Their districts are all about coal and coal fired power plants. They got a pass and their seats are now safer than they would have been.

He has now done something sacreligious in Republican circles.

Choosing a new god is sacrilegious in a lot of circles.

Cut it out!

Only 8 out of 178 voted with the Democrats.

This was a Democrat bill, passed with 96% Democrat votes.

Put the blame where it belongs.

Once we identify these people who will be entering on to private property under the opuses of doing an audit of your toaster oven wattage, as part of Cap-n-Trade. These are not civil servants. Let’s call them the eco-bolsheviks. It will be your civic duty to humiliate these people openly in the public square. This is personal.

The GOP these days makes the Detroit Lions look like winners!

They may have been outplayed 16 times in the same season, but at least they showed up for the game.

Any football team which had 95.5% of the members of its team carry out their assignments, perfectly, would be Super Bowl champs.

Those people will be the community organizers Michelle has been training....brown shirts. Obama’s personal hit squad.

They said “every” community...even as small as a village would need these new inspectors. Real estate appraisers would have to be re-educated and all kinds of rules and regulations to even sell your home. That was just a couple pf the new rules in the 300 page amendment.......

Put the blame where it belongs.

Exactly. There is plenty to complain about the GOP but the fact remains that the overwhelming majority rejected this. Those eight that supported it did so at their OWN peril.
