Didn’t we read that her license was rescinded? Wouldn’t that mean she passed the bar, then lost her license for reasons unknown?

In the absence of any known professional state disciplinary action against her, the best guess is that she decided she didn't need to nor want to practice law at some point (when she got the cushy job at the U. of Chicago hospital?), and so voluntarily decided not to pay a fairly hefty license renewal fee. In that event, she would no longer be listed in the Illinois bar registry.
