It started with executives of companies recieving government money. Now Obama and his henchmen want to set pay levels for every executive in America. Unbelievably, there are some people who think this is a GOOD idea. Sam Pizzigati of Too Much online magazine, and a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in DC is one of those guys, and he sits down to talk with EC.

In an indirect way, yes they should be limited. But by the market, not the government or other agency.

Stop the double taxation of dividends. No special treatment for capital gains. Better yet, kill the income tax.

The shareholders will scream to have the cash diverted from executives to them. Right now the incentive is to leave it with the corporation in an attempt to buy growth. With an even balance on taxes between spending on growth and dividends, executives will be required to justify wasting any cash rather than returning it to the stockholders.

They tried this under Clinton and the Republicans killed it by applying it equally to all high level earners, actors, athletes, lawyers, etc.

Too many Democrats in that group.
