If this is so, it will only strengthen the uprising and weaken the Ayatollahs further.
Bringing in foreign (not to mention non-Persian) fundamentalist militants to clamp down on the Iranian people would only serve to sign the death warrant of the Theocracy.

It's the ultimate admission of bankruptcy for the regime. They cannot claim to be melliyun (nationalist) if they use foreign Arab/Sunni mercenaries to crush Iranian patriots.

They have proven right those Iranians who always insisted that the regime is arabified and cares more about palestinians than for Iranians.

Ahmadinejad doesn't look particularly Persian.
He also spends all his time ranting about Israel.

All while the American Emperor fiddles.

The Obama Administration is, in my humble opinion, an accessory to the crimes currently being committed against the Iranian civilian population.

Ahmadinejad doesn't look particularly Persian.

He's Persian. Surnames ending with -nejad (ancestor) are common Persian last names.

The Theocracy is not going anywhere unless the people become armed.

If the military and police forces turn on the Theocracy, then the people will be armed.
I’m not holding out much hope that the Revolutionary Guard will turn, though.

Yep, that’s the only way. Then Hezbollah military would be on their way. That sure would be interesting.

If the mullah’s little dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (I’m a dinner jacket) feels he has his back against the wall and will lose power, he may just launch the one or two of his only nukes at Israel that he has now in order to bring the evil one from the bottomless pit of that well. This will be coordinated with the NK July 4th nuke missle at the west coast. Game on!

That is a good point, they can use war as an excuse to completely squash any dissent.

I don’t believe this for a second.

Some people just refuse to face the reality that the mullahs & Ahmedinejad have plenty of their own support in Iran & there is no shortage of native head-bashers.

I believe that this what you said is true about no shortage.

This is from the article....

Other Iranian protesters - - including a young man who carried a kitchen knife in one hand and a stone in the other, also testified to the presence of Hamas in Teheran. A young man who carried a butcher knife in one hand and a rock in the other said, “My brother had his ribs beaten in by those Palestinian animals. Taking our people’s money is not enough - - they are thirsty for our blood too.”

It’s ironic, the knife wielding man added, the victorious Ahmadinejad “tells us to pray for the young Palestinians, suffering at the hands of Israel.” He expressed his hope that Israel would “come to its senses” and ruthlessly deal with the Palestinians.

When asked if these militia fighters could have been mistaken for Lebanese Shi’ites, sent by Hezbollah, he rejected the idea. “Ask anyone, they will tell you the same thing. They [Palestinian extremists] are out beating Iranians in the streets… The more we gave this arrogant race, the more they want… [But] we will not let them push us around in our own country.”

Mad Dog wants to be a player. He's trying to build an anti-US coalition in Venezuela, Lebanon, Syria and sucking up to Russia.

Soon NK will have missiles capable fo reaching the west coast. Iran is trying to reach Europe and then the US beyond and the Russians will help Venezuela.

Now that the Monroe Doctine is just ashes, we need to stop the little religious fanatic before he gets any closer to bringing an end to the world to fulfill his prophecies.

During the fall of the shah, the same language was used to describe “Israeli thugs” beating the crap out of the anti-shah protestors. I believe that as much as I believe this new version.

Using the Palestinians as agents of their repression is an old trick of the Mullahs. During the first “Islamic revolution” (an oxymoron, if there ever was one) PLO members went to Iran and were made to don police and military uniforms They machine-gunned students in the streets. The Shah’s regime was blamed, of course.

Y’know, all this stuff in Iran recently is starting to make Pakistan look calm. And that takes skill.

Actually his real name is not Ahmadi-Nejad. His family changed it’s original name, Saburchiyan, which hints to an Azeri-Turk/Armenian background.

But I think nutjobs strange looks derive from the fact that he is just evil and crazy.

It has long been practice for the regime to recruit Iraqi Shia Arabs from POW and refugee during the Iran-Iraq war as thugs. And the Lebanese Arab Hezbullah is a well-known regime proxy.

The use of Arab thugs is nothing new, and the use of foreigners as preatorian guard is not an Iranian novelty but practiced by many regimes past and present.

Saddam Hussein also used Palestinians against Kuwaitis and Shias.

I have my doubts regarding Venezuelan and Cuban officers... but don’t doubt for a second that Arabs thugs are used. Makes perfectly sense.
