A Disaster Brewing on Healthcare
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 6/18/09 | Purple Mountains

Another disaster is brewing as Obama seems to be winning the public perception battle regarding government-supplied healthcare. This is despite all the warnings about the failure of similar systems in places like Canada and England, and the absolute certainty that government healthcare will raise costs, and quickly lead to shortages of doctors and procedures, rationing and denials of treatments to certain patients. All this can be predicted, but Americans are not paying close attention.

Now we also have the model of the failure of the Massachusetts experiment in a government-mandated heathcare system to observe. Will it make any difference?

Disagree. ObamaCare is, IMHO, DOA. The pubbies are agin’ it as are the Blue Dog dummocrats. Also, a lot congresscritters more will be agin’ it when they hear from the senior citizen constituencies.

The initial plan will be generous and full of perks most other plans do not have.

This is how the government will lure you away from private insurance.

Once they have destroyed the private insurance industry (and taken over a few of the big ones with bailouts), the gov’t will be left as the sole provider.

That will be when controls are enacted on doctors and hospitals.......the nightmare will take 10 years to materialize. This is just the first step.

Remember folks, when primary season comes around again, that the Massachusetts failure at socialized medicine is properly called ROMNEYCARE.

I wonder if the new Socialized Healthcare will include the mobility restrictions that were a major part of the ClintonCare attempt- that was a requirement to register with the regional government medical authority and get government permission to travel out-of-region. The left is always driven by angst at the mobility of the citizenry and wants desperately to curtail or end it. The constant pressure to force mass transit is a manifestation of that mindset. People are harder to minutely control if they can just up and go somewhere.

Healthcare??? My arse!

Lets call it what it really is...ANOTHER POWER GRAB by the Muslim world’s LEADER...Obama!

BTW, why are we letting Obama get away with labeling the Muslim’s as Muslim “world.” He can’t even admit that we are a Christian nation BUT he acknowledges the Muslims as Muslim “WORLD”?

Hmm, I wonder where us Christians will be in line for Obama/Soros health care plan? My guess is... the back of the line.

This will look NOTHING like ClintonCare. The Clintons were arrogant and tried to ram the whole socialized medicine down our throats in one shot. It failed because the arguments and examples are everywhere to see.

What Obama will do is more like Massachusetts where it will start very benign and morph over time into socialized medicine (perhaps even after Obama is out of office)

Conservatives are fighting and talking about something Obama will not do. It is a switcheroo to embarass the right, leaving a nice plan in place to secure election of liberals for another cycle.

PS: It will all be "paid for" with offsetting cuts and revenue enhancements, leaving very little to argue against.
