Viewing Free Republic on Blackberry Bold

Posted on 06/14/2009 9:28:23 PM PDT by Bubbette

Have a new Blackberry Bold bought specifically to keep up with email and favorite website FR. Anyone know how to view, say, the Latest Articles page without the sidebar knocking out the body of the page. As it loads you see the titles of the threads and body, but as it continues to load the sidebar knocks that off the page.

Sorry, I'm new at this. Do I need to change Java script? Change the "Browsing Experience"? I don't really know what questions to ask.

Thanks in advance for any advice. My freeping addiction needs to be fed if possible!

I have a BB Curve (8330) as well. I ‘enter’ FR on my BB from the mainpage; hit either Latest Posts or Latest Articles (I find scrolling from the bottom of the page up works fastest); click either of those options; and I am ‘in.’ I can hit my pings/mail as well...but they aren’t ‘highlighted’ like on my PC. I can post...but I make sooooo many typos on those ittsy bittsy keys...that I fear the spelling police will pull me over.

Problem w/FReeping from your ‘phone’ is that you never, ever stop...’its’ always there...

Two and a half hours later, success! I first had to disable Java script which finally allowed me to get to the bottom of the sidebar. I have disabled it and will now change to 20 the viewable posts per page. After registering on several sites and reading the forums, Free Republic was the one to come through. Can sleep peacefully now! Thanks BB and everyone else!

Next project, streaming audio.....maybe.
