CBS airbrushes Letterman's Willow Palin rape joke out of transcript

Interesting -- the censors at CBS airbrushed Letterman's rape joke out of the transcript it sent to the media:

The remark was aired live, but CBS removed it from the transcript it makes available to media, including the New York Times, which publishes Letterman’s opening monologue on its blog site.

I have had people tell me Letterman said nothing about Willow.

He didn't mention her by name. He just talked about the daughter who was at the baseball game. But, as you know, the only daughter at the baseball game was Willow.

That editing seems to me to be an indication that management is aware David Letcherman created a potential problem for their network.

CBS wouldn't have to bother "airbrushing rape jokes" out for you and the people you talk to. Maybe you should find a better class of people to talk to...
