I ask for something in writing first, too, and they never have a policy of sending out written material without a pledge first.
They lose any chance of getting anything out of me that way. It just screams *scam* at me.
We donate to whom we choose to, not because someone comes by with their hand out.
Exactly. I give to 700 Club sometimes, March of Dimes or Cancer Society but not always. Salvation Army, Rescue Mission, and other Christian groups we try to support, esp. around the holidays.
