Mr. President, please stand up to Pelosi’s parliamentary pander

In 2002, Barack Obama spoke out against “undetermined costs, and undetermined consequences” at an anti-war rally just months before the start of the Iraq war.

In the speech which made him a liberal darling, Obama went on to say that he was opposed to the cynicism of the “weekend warriors in this (Bush) administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.”

The words of the pre-Washington Obama are poignant today as his rhetoric rings hollow with the lack of action President Obama is exhibiting as Speaker Nancy Pelosi uses parliamentary tricks to remove an amendment which will prevent the release photographs of alleged detainee abuse during the War on Terror.

While he has reversed himself on this issue before, supporting the release of the photos before opposing it, his silence on Mrs. Pelosi’s gambit shows that Washington politics supersedes the safety of our military.

While I will refrain from calling the Commander-in-Chief and the Speaker of the House “weekend warriors,” I will take issue with the choice to shove this liberal ideology “down our throats” with no consideration to how releasing these photos will bear hardship to our troops in harm’s way or cost American lives.

The release of these photos, an action which has been clamored for by the likes of the ACLU, is nothing more than a repayment to the liberal left by a liberal government who choose to not stand and fight for the lives of America’s military, but instead provide our enemies the tools and the means to recruit even more who will wish us harm.

Obama wants the photo’s out there, he just wants someone else to take the heat should it go bad.

LOL, that'll be a funny joke...

"Ladies and gentlemen of the press pool. Unfortunately President Obama was unable to make it today due to pressing and urgent matters of state; however, he was gracious enough to send his teleprompter, which will be able to answer any questions you may have."

“From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though ... Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there’s a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death.”

The Republicans should run a Chinese candidate against Pelosi next time since there are many Chinese in San Franciso. That might be the only way to get a Republican in that district.
