That won’t even work. There are now more of them than there are of us. And each day they increase and we decrease.

[To Wit] If every person that called themselves a Christian and every legitmate gun owner had voted against obama it would have been no contest.

But that did not happen.obama got much more of his share of the votes of both groups.

So we are where we are.

ACORN has billions of dollars to ensure that it only gets worse in the future.

Elections do have consequences.

SO, if our cause is right and just, should we just lay down and surrender, Sport? Or do we stand, even as the Founders stood, no matter what we may have to sacrifice in the process — like Lives, fortunes, and sacred honor?

Checks and balances (High School civics we all know):

Executive
Legislative
Judicial

Each has a pulling or “checking” effect on the other two. When all three are of one mind to purport evil, we have a fallback:

The 1st Amendment - right to voice opposition and constructive alternatives. We do this on FR every day.

The 4th Amendment - right to dwell safely as law-abiding citizens in our own homes.

Filing all of the above, we have one final hope:

The 2nd Amendment - The Founders, who themselves were and became the government, envisioned a potential future scenario of tyranny, well beyond their own lifetimes. The 2A offers the last line of defense to the citizen before he is killed or cast into shackles of slavery. Certain types of pieces are effective against everything, including a tyrannical federal force, barreling down the road toward monarchy at appalling speed.

“Why do you need that?”
“I have my reasons.”
“You use it for fun?”
“No, too expensive”
“You hunt with it?”
“No.”
“You plan to commit any crimes?”
“No sir, I’m an honest citizen with a wife and kids to feed and protect. Sir, this weapon is the one I hope I never have to use. It is the one that separates freedom from slavery. You may not take it, because in doing so, you take my final safety net against a government which can then do anything to me. Good day to you, sir.”
