There are multiple categories that NEVER get discussed. Among them are people whose unemployment benefits have expired, people who are significantly under employed, independent contractors, consultants, small business owners whose revenue has dried up, and those who have been pushed back into the workforce because of the collapse of their retirement plans.
To paraphrase the Gipper: "It is a recession when your neighbor loses their job. It is a depression when you lose your job. It is recovery when Obama loses his job."
