Dont dare point out even one negative towards her or your doomed to hell.

LOL - OK that was funny.

Seriously though, legit criticism of Palin is welcome. Slandering and maligning her is not.

She’s our one hope right now.

She's not our only hope. She is, however, one of the few politicians willing to take the job and capable of doing it well. I have not decided to vote for her in four years, but she is certainly very competitive for both my vote and for the nomination. I just want her to earn it in a competitive race rather than being coronated.

"Help us, Governor Sarah Palin, you're our only hope."

It’s too bad she’s not more like Reagan in terms of quick-wittedness, though I do think she’s getting better

It's her ability to communicate with the average American that makes her Reaganesque. She doesn't speak in platitudes like other politicians, she speaks from the heart and that is what I admire about her.

You might as well start using apostrophes, Dain B.
And writing “you’re” instead of “your”,as in “your doomed to hell”.
Although it all does support your choice of FR handle.
But I guess you’re observations we’re right on, so it doesnt matter.

I agree that she can communicate very fluidly with the average Joe, much like Reagan. What Reagan also had in his arsenel was a bit of charm and polish when dealing with enemies, both overt and in the media. If Palin can develop a smoother style of banter with the pressed pants crowd, it will neutralize their disdain of her as a 'dumb hick'.

There's a superficial and shallow prejudice against 'non Beltway types' that will weigh her down if she can't disarm it. Even Bill Clinton was able to switch between folksy/genuine and polished/slick when the situation warranted. That's the sweet spot of American political communication right there, and one that Palin could occupy with a little practice and effort.

I think the title is somewhat of an overstatement.

Who writes this type of stuff?

Sarah is solid through and through, and yes, she does have some way to go as far as sophistication goes: she’s still young but has been put through the wringer like very few politicos have ever had to endure at her age. So that in itself should make up an irreplaceable learning experience.
If she finds herself up once again for being on the ticket, but this time on top, I have a gut feeling she would rouse the conservative base that’s slowly but surely forming out there, and scare the hell out of RINOs and Dems alike. And yes, I think she could win, three years from now, and yes, I think she’d make as good a President as any we’ve had since Reagan. ALL SHE NEEDS IS EXPERIENCE.
AND SHE’S GETTING IT. DAY BY DAY. It would help right now if she could do something dramatically good and well-publicized for Alaska, even though it’s a longshot the MSM would even cover it, let alone give it the same fawning attention they give Obama’s actual failures and shortcomings. But a change is gonna come, as Sam Cooke said. And it’s gonna come AFTER Obama.

Bill Bennett mentioned Palin this morning and then immediately rushed to praise Gov. of Indiana.
Byron York mentioned that she gave a great speech, but of course, it was on her own territory, Anchorage.

No mention of the 20,000 who showed up in upstate NY this past week.

The so called ‘establishment’ just can’t tolerate her.

I agree. She has to earn it. I’ve been saying as much here in FR.

And how does she have to earn it? She has to take the press head on. She has to confront their lying accusations one-by-one and as a whole.

She has to make the lying leftist press the issue in a way that no politician has ever made them the issue. And she has to make that issue stick.

If she can do it, she’s earned her spot in American History.

If she can’t, she hasn’t. It’s as simple as that.

Responding to the accusations and to the attack journalists in the press is tricky. They want her to overreact. They want to put her on the defensive. She's facing the most evil generation of liberal fascists since 70 years ago in Germany, perhaps ever. She can't let them control what she says, but she has to deflect their attacks. I hope she comes up with a successful strategy, one that is Reaganesque but unique to her (you know they'd accuse her of plagiarism if her response was too similar to Reagan's):

"There you go again."

From your post, you and I seem to be more or less on the same page with regards to Sarah. She does have some areas that need improvement and I hope she's working on them.

Even if she isn't the nominee, she presents an ideological challenge to obama and the rinos that has been missing since Reagan. And just like with Reagan, the popularity she receives should encourage others who might have stayed on the sidelines and kept their philosophy to themselves.

Plus, she forces the rinos to respond to her and they then reveal their obama-lite contrast to Sarah's Reagan-esque. For these things and for others, she's one of the few American political heroes and not many have taken the heat she has. Most of her critics certainly couldn't handle it.

It is funny how scared the GOP establishment is of her. They are trying do everything they can to discredit her as a candidate. I would even bet some of the anti-Palin posts on this website originate from GOP headquarters.

Yes, I have to agree with you on that. However, many of the Palin bashers on FR are leftards. Many are just Romneybots, holdover McCainbots and other RINO supporters. There are a few who don't like her simply because she is a woman, but they won't admit it, and some who just have an unreasonable dislike for her because they think she "can't control her family", as if she should be beating the crap out of them daily.

I, for one, believe she is the best hope we have for bringing the party back from the dead, because as long as the GOP persists in being the "big tent" party we will keep losing elections. I believe that is what the republican leaders really want, they want ONE party rule, their intentions are totally obvious.

They should be screaming their heads off about the impeachable offenses that Bozo has already committed, regardless if they could actually impeach him or not, but most of them are strangely silent and some, like McCain, even encourage the POS.

Rant over and GO SARAH.
