Both groups understand the same things. The difference is that Russians see that socialism leads to failure, and they know that's a bad thing. obama's voters see that socialism leads to personal power, and they don't care that national failure comes along with that power.

His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in Americas short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
Kind of like winning a Superbowl with an all-pass offense in professional football. It just doesn't work, not even with Tom Brady leading it!
They’ve experienced the reality of it in full force.
I recall long ago when Phil Donahue would have his pal Vladimir Pozner on, who was called the Soviet or “Russian Phil Donahue”. Some lady from Russia stood up crying telling the rest of the audience not to listen to this communist. One might wonder to whom exactly she was referring. :-)
They know comrades when they see them.
Every FReeper/American should understand these ideas:

These are not liberals and democrats, these are stone-cold commies.
Communism doesn’t begin with piles of corpses, it begins with hope and change.
Communism is not a huge number of people deciding to be serfs, slaves and suicidal, it is a huge number of people wanting hope and change.
Freedom is binary. You’re either free, or you are not. There are only shades of slavery.
Americans are no longer free. They’re suffering a kind of socialism/communism/fascism.
This is not what the founders had in mind and it is not freedom, as such.
The enemy of freedom is on the left.
The time to begin the fight is right now!
That just because you’re a good commie doesn’t mean you’re going to get a cute little dacha on the lake.
I read this earlier from a DRUDGE link. I can’t disagree with a word of it :(
In fact, he doesn’t even get into health care, carbon credits, military affairs, SCOTUS or the VAT.

With all due respect to you “Ernest” because I know you are a long time Freeper, I think folks should refrain from posting articles from blogs that are really only quoting from other sources.
It would be better to seek out the original source and post that, providing it has not been posted before.
In this case Pravda is “reprinting” and article originally posted on an anonomous blog. We have no way of knowing who wrote the article or what that author’s actual nationality is, or anything else about him.
Besides all that, Pravda barely even resembles what it was under the Soviet Union, but more resembles the National Enquirer now. Just go look at some of the other articles on their web-site. (French Release Secret Pictures of UFOs, Huge Hairy Sea-Monster Found, ETC.)
The actual essay is good but would have more weight if a person could trust it actually cam from a Russian.
Ummmm, excuse me but doesn't Stanislav Mishin write like he's one of us? A freeper?
One word answer: Experience.
That communism is bullsh(t.
