charts from WV are interesting, because here in the Pittsburgh region we have cut back dramatically on the amounts of particulate matter, CO2 and Sulfur Dioxide over the past sixty years. You would expect to see that make a dramatic change, but in reality things appear to keep cycling just as they did before.
There is probably an improvement in acid rain deposition, because of the removal of sulfur dioxide, to the east and southeast of Pittsburgh (i.e., downwind of the prevailings); but the temperature data don’t seem to have changed.
