If your not going to take the word of the Republican party and conservatives about the pitfalls and failures of government-run socialized healthcare, then maybe you'll listen to the people who actually have to experience it everyday. Listen to the story told by Shona Holmes, who says that if it weren't for the healthcare that she received here in America, she wouldn't be alive today.

I wonder how many Canadians would be dead if not for health care in the USA? Lots I bet.
My guess that the reason she had to wait so long to see a neurosurgeon was because there are not enough of them in Canada. It takes a long time to become a good neurosurgeon and the reward for the long years of low income work while you learn, is a high paying specialty when you finally attain expertise. Why would anyone spend that kind of time learning to be a neurosurgeon when your salary is going to be dictated by the government and not by your skill? The free market applies to everyone.
