(Via the Corner) In response to President Obama's plans to tax the foreign income of companies incorporated in places like the Bahamas, Accenture has decided to do this.
Technology outsourcing and consulting firm Accenture Ltd plans to change its place of incorporation to Ireland from Bermuda, following an exodus of large multinational companies to Europe as the U.S. government plans to tighten tax rules.
Accenture said on Tuesday it does not expect any material change in its financial results or tax treatment, but said Ireland will provide economic benefits. Its board unanimously approved the move.
"A member of the European Union, Ireland offers a sophisticated, well-developed corporate, legal and regulatory environment," Accenture Chief Executive William Green said in a statement.

Ireland has been on the up for some years now, and as far as I know, there's no appreciable muzzie population there.
translation: we think The One can roll Bermuda, but he will be reluctant to provoke his best buds in the E.U.
Obama doesn’t want these capitalist entities here anyway. He cannot eliminate our system if the workers have good jobs and nice homes to live in.
Fair number of pharma's have moved mfg operations to Ireland.
Ingersoll Rand is doing the same thing with its headquarters and its incorporation. They started out here, went to Bermuda, realized it wasn’t good enough, and headed for Ireland.
The one to watch, I believe, is Cuba.
