TDC asks, should the woman have told those who were offended by the American flag that there are airplanes departing Dallas / Fort Worth every hour and that they could catch the next one to take themselves back to the country they came from? Wow, how can you be offended by the American flag when this country provides the opportunity for a life that many would never otherwise have? Such disrepect should never be tolerated!

She could have told them that if she wanted to. And people being offended by the American flag is colossally stupid. At the same time, an employer has every right to decide what can and cannot be hung in the office. non-story.

Different employers handle things different ways. That is also their right. Don't like your employer, get a new job.

Frankly, I think that it is pretty obnoxious to hang anything as large as 3'X 5' on the wall of an office you share with other people. I have a 3" X 5" flag (the kind you wave at parades) at my desk. Am I less patriotic because it is small? I think people were less offended by the fact that it was an American flag than by the fact that it was 3' X 5' and she didn't ask anyone she shared the office with if they minded. A little common courtesy goes a long way.

Upon further reading, the size was exactly what the problem was... at least according to the statement from the employer.

I don’t care how or how small the flag was...It’s OUR FLAG!!!

My father fought under that flag in WWII(Patton’s Third Army)...I fought under that flag in Vietnam (SEAL2)...Both my sons fought under that flag in Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf (one a US Marine, the other a US Navy sailor)

Don't like your employer in America, while execricising your rights as an American, expose the employer for their violation of your American rights and force them to back down, or get themselves a new job.
