The California Supreme Court upheld the Proposition 8 ban on gay marriage in California, putting lots of politicians on the defensive, and giving rise to the question of when judicial review of the public will is appropriate.

read between the lines, the california supremes punted AGAIN.

They left the 18k homosexual based marriages intact because they are counting on the 9th circus court to overturn 1996 DOMA and push homosexual marriage back onto the people.

This is going to be the wedge issue in 2010.
