Republicans better put up a good candidate in ‘12 cuz I can’t stand 4 more years of this guy.
Obama is criticizing policies that, in general, worked. And which, contrary to vociferous complaints, did no harm to any American citizen. When Obama comes up with a policy that works, then maybe he will have the standing to talk.
There are serious problems facing this country, and the Obama Administration spends its time worrying about Cheney. Smells like paranoia.
The only thing I want to give Obama are his walking papers.
Where is the evidence to support this claim?
Is this what they told us under interrogation? It wasn't their Imam's preaching hate in the madrass? The decades of Arabs hating Jews more than they loved their children? Terrorists hate Hollywood, blue jeans and Dairy Queen. But it wasn't until we opened Gitmo that they decided to kill innocent civilians?
He says he wants the country to be More moral. Check out his moral values: We can't water board terrorists because he claims it to be torture but it's ok to pull babies apart in the womb. It's ok to destroy the economy and blame it on someone else. It's ok to have tax cheats and crooks in your cabinet while calling others crooks.
Obama is cold and calculating and as evil as they come.
In other words, "I won, and there's not a darn thing you can do about it, so naa naa naa. Hmph."
It isn’t necessary to read or hear what BO said today.
It was the imposition of DEMOCRAT Jamie Gorlick’s “wall-of-seperation” that blinded the FBI to the 9/11 terrorist objectives.
Terror is NOT a “law enforcement issue”!
It is the policies of the Bush administration that have kept us safe since then.
The “Enhanced Interogation Methods” ARE NOT TORTURE, as 2 Republican Senators made clear to AG, Eric Holder the other day (left him sputtering and embarassed).
The FBI’s success in N.Y.C. this week was “in spite of” NOT “because of” BO’s policies!
By the looks of things, Obama sounded angry and scolding of the Bush White House.
The author makes a couple of good points. 0dildo hasn’t done much at all substantively about Bush’s WoT policies. But his rhetoric has done tremendous harm to national security. Rhetoric matters when it emanates from the WH.
Since the government has afforded all the Guantanamo detainees the accords of the Geneva convention covering prisoners of war do the following articles apply?
Excerpt from Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War Article 22
Prisoners of war may be interned only in premises located on land and affording every guarantee of hygiene and healthfulness. Except in particular cases which are justified by the interest of the prisoners themselves, they shall not be interned in penitentiaries.
Excerpt from Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War Article 97
Prisoners of war shall not in any case be transferred to penitentiary establishments (prisons, penitentiaries, convict prisons, etc.) to undergo disciplinary punishment therein.
I predict if the President keeps making these decisions without any sound strategic thought he will continue to make things worse. The decision to close Guantanamo without a well thought out plan in advance is the biggest mistake of his Presidency...so far.
