Haiti?
Clinton invaded Haiti - !
Clinton turned the US troops into garbage collectors and maintenance men in Haiti - !
Haiti - land of the flaming necktie
[Clinton has been named UN special envoy on Haiti on Tuesday, so its perhaps a good time for him to learn to be politically correct.]
That’s what it says up in the article.
I don’t recall what the ‘flaming necktie’ bit was about.
.
Necktie :
An old car tire with gasoiline pulled over the head - and.....
The job is actually more “plum” than one might initially think.
It’s a UN envoyship. Essentially, Haiti, as the poorest country in the entire Western hemisphere, is in dire need of international funds.
The idea is that Clinton - with his big name recognition amongst his fellow socialists - will be able to bring in big money to help Haiti. Clinton can emerge from this a hero.
The interesting thing was that Clinton took advantage of a very similar situation when Dubya Bush partnered Clinton with his father Bush, Sr. to help raise funds following the tsunami in 2004. Clinton was fading into obscurity, and Bush tossed him a lifeline - which he capitalized on to regain his public profile. And then used against Bush.
Oh yuck, don’t tell me. Lol, I’m sorry I asked.
Yes, I was thinking in terms of Ambassador to Haiti. Clinton is a good fund raiser, it will depend upon how it is used in Haiti. Reminds me of New Orleans in a way, lol.
I know a bit about Haiti from people who have been there.
Was an odd thing when Clinton and Bush 41 partnered up, but then we always heard ‘things’ about Arkansas dealings.
.
The Odd Couple stuff does not help Bush 41 or 43
But their illegals agendas and 43’s budgets were nothing to write home about either
Ahh...Slick Willy...still tappin’ dat a**!
Clinton, of the bulbous red nose...
I didn’t say it was okay, but there’s no way of knowing if it was a problem for Ms. Drescher.
Hilarious Meek.
Ross Perot did that. The American electorate never gave Slick a plurality.
Skr,
I hope you didn’t think I was trying to say that you thought it was okay for Clinton to grope a former rape victim. We’ve both got more sense than that, I’m sure!
My deal is that the media went to town analyzing how Angela Merkel must have felt about her backrub (and allow me to say that Bush did that sort of stuff with men all the time as well) to transform it into an unwanted personal assault.
I don’t know how Drescher felt about it; I don’t necessarily know if Clinton meant it as a grope, or if it was just a very accidental slip of his hand. I only know that if Clinton were a Republican the media would have fallen all over themselves transforming it in a major assault against a women - and then they would have morphed the “assault” into how Republicans treat women generally.
