ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – The Pakistani government on Sunday urged people stranded by a military offensive against Taliban militants in the Swat valley to try to get out.

Just as the headline in the WSJ indicated some weeks ago (Friday, April 14):
U.S. Urges Pakistan to Repel Taliban
Translation: "you're on your own, suckers."
Oh but the Pakistani elites have told me several times that the Taliban is peaceful group simply misunderstood by brutish American thugs.
This media report is just another lie...
If it were the US, Obama would also recommend that we flee from the Taliban. My preference, though, would be to show them who’s boss.
They have brought this upon themselves with their sharia deal in Swat.
I’m sure the Taliban got the message as well.
