Tonight Gov. Palin will be attending her daughter's graduation from Wasilla High School. We learned that the senior class advisors, representing the student body, invited Gov. Palin to speak to the graduating class. All signs indicate that she accepted the invitation, but the school's administration then decided against it. The school's administration denied any knowledge of this in an email reply to C4P, but the students are sticking by the story as well as our sources in Wasilla.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with her not speaking there. She is coming as a parent, not as a Governor, but if they told her to speak and then she was dis invited then that is a different story altogether and seriously messed up. She put that school on the map
C4P should hold a huge huge huge graduation party after the ceremony (invite the media) and have Sarah speak to them there. It would be awesome.
But if she was denied the opportunity to speak at the graduation it would clearly reveal that the tentacles of the Messiah have the potential to reach into any area of American life.
Oh I totally agree. From what I read, the senior class invited her to speak, and she agreed to(she is already attending the graduation since Bristol is graduating today) then BOOM, she gets dis invited, something isn’t right. The first thing that came to my mind was that Obama’s brown shirts got to them and paid them off to take back the invitation
Weak-kneed sissies on the Screwel Board. This is why we are losing folks. Cowards are too afraid to stand up for what is right than to do the right thing. I pity them.
That would be GOD...sorry.
My guess it’s the first dude who will be speaking and shaking hands tonight!
They are trying to avoid a massive crowd that Palin draws whenever she speaks.
Possibly just something as simple as fear of arsonists. They burned down the church she attended, didn’t they? Where did that investigation ever lead?
She’s the govenor.
I’d be happy to have the govenor (Democrat or Republican) speak at my child’s high school graduation. It’s the office that carry’s the honor, not the person.
Congrats and best wishes to Bristol Palin. Hope you've had a great day with friends and family.
I will hold my judgment until more information is known. Depending on where the graduation is being held, it may be that the school administration feared a huge crowd coming just to hear the Governor speak-—including people who had no connection whatsoever with the graduation-—thereby causing family of students actually graduating not being able to get in. Media would also be prominent, and they may have wanted to avoid that, too. Relationships between mothers and daughters can be dicey at times also; perhaps Bristol told her mother that she preferred her not to speak such that “mom” would be the center of attention.
There could be a number of reasons.
Reads like partisan politics to me. Sad, really, but I'm sure the Guv will relish celebrating with Bristol and the family.
I heard the School Administrators were going to withhold an Honorary Degree.
