I see these two as a marriage of convenience. Zer0 needed a girl from the neighborhood who knew her way around and had some connections ... Michelle thought Zer0 was a go-getter who might make it all the way up to Chicago alderman some day.

That's what she has in common with Jackie O. Not glamor or star quality, but a marriage that's a means to shared ends. Obama got out of earlier relationships because they couldn't give him the kind of political credibility he wanted. I'm not saying the marriage is all a sham but it's not just hearts and flowers.

Interesting comment here. She's the driven, ambitious one. He's laid-back in comparison.
