I think the thing is, we don’t see her as any kind of representative spokesperson or well- thought-out articulator of her position.

She is exactly what she is...a primped, polished, doll faced shallow beauty who wanted more than anythng else to win hat contest... Until...

Who knew?

Her deeply held beliefs meant more to her than any crown.

THAT’S THE IRONY! And no one, included the “judge” who I’m convinced just KNEW he had a slam dunk. I mean c’mon, a fake boob bimbo from California ? There must be no depth to her. “She will give me the soundite I need, and the headline I need.”

Nobody saw it coming.

Kids say the darndest things, don”t they?

They sure do! And hat's off to Art Linkletter (who is STILL alive at the age of 96!) for showing us that.

Hey, if she had gotten a 'reasonable' judge to ask that question, or if the simpering little showboat had not decided to use the "b" word or the "c" word to describe her afterwards, we would not be talking about her. It would have come and gone, just like that woman who won the pageant, you remember her.

Or, wait, maybe you don't. I remembered she came from North Carolina, but frankly, I'd have to Google her name up to be recall who she was, but I doubt that I would remember I've heard it. No matter what, Carrie's got more staying power than whatever-her-name-was who beat her. And that's due to Prissy Missy Perez.
