Not exactly on-thread, but I’m going to buy his ‘Whizbang Apple Cider Grinder and Press’ plans. I have more than a dozen trees to deal with this fall and would like some sweet cider and a taste or two of the hard stuff.
Next year, I’m planting garlic . . .
Bought a juicer one year when we had 60 mph winds bring down the sweet apples in an orchard here in Utah, and we filled up the bathtub several times with what the farmer wasn’t going to pick up. We were college students, we weren’t picky. We washed and juiced them all, and filled up a root cellar with the gallon jugs. My buddy decided to get married about a month later, and we brought it all out for a good Mormon reception. Best fizzy apple cider ever served in Provo, home of BYU.
