Actulaay, Caligula had done things like that and much worse prior to Nero. So had Tiberius.

Yes. They discussed Caligula and Tiberius - despicable despots as they were. The show said they were indisputably insane. too.
It was just that the part about Nero - I couldn't stop thinking about the parallels with BO! UGH!
