A woman my wife works with was a single mother who made around 20K a year, lived with her mom and had a five year old son. She would constantly spend $100 or $200 on clothes and shoes for this child. She bought him a $500 leather jacket. Yet she would apply for and receive every posible Government hand out that she could get.
I am over 40 years old have made over 100K a year and have never owned a piece of clothing that cost $500.
It is this kind of materialistic attitude that the Rev, is talking about, and he is saying that the fist bumper is a prfime example of style over substance.
I bought my wedding dress, veil and shoes at a thrift store for $75 - then sold it for $100.
Yeah, I’m that cheap! lol!
