7. Electric People

According to British paranormalist Hilary Evans, some people are ‘upright human [electric] eels, capable of generating charges strong enough to knock out streetlights and electronic equipment.” Cases of electric people date back to 1786, the most famous of which is that of 14 year old Angelique Cottin, whose presence caused compass needles to gyrate wildly. To further investigate this phenomenon, Evans founded SLIDE, the Street Lamp Interference Data Exchange.

I had a friend once who simply could not wear a wristwatch. Every one she put on died immediately.

Once, I was throwing out some old stuff and in it was a dead watch that she liked the look of, so I gave it to her. It had been dead for years. The minute she put it on, it started working again.

Go figure.

Apparently I am a SLIder!!

I have experienced this many, many times. I've always chalked it up to coincidence (and still do).

But I was a bit unnerved when I took a walk with my daughter around a lake with a well lit walking path. Of roughly 25 lights, five different lights went off as I walked under them.

Weird.
