A quite interesting proposal, IMO. It is, at minimum, food for thought.
Let the discussion commence...

It's a real shame we even have to consider codifying our founding principles into an amendment for our own founding document, 233 years after the fact...

Thanks EdReform!
Some fodder for the folks wishing to put the feral beast back in its cage. I just scanned the article so I don't really have any input for now. BUT, for those so inclined I want to at least make the 10th Amendment Division aware of the discussion. Carry on...

Section 4 should be broadened to include more than InterstateSection 5 should take care of anything else. Just section 5 by itself will more than decimate the beltway bureaucracy.

The said part is that this needs to be put forth as a proposal at all. This is essentially the way the Constitution is supposed to function.

The 14th just needs to be clarified to exclude anchor babies. A parent must be a citizen.
The interstate commerce section would probably be a nice, sufficient, self enclosed amendment in and of itself, and would nullify a lot of the crap that they’ve already done.

If the Constitution was meant as a instrument of Shall not in regard to this Federal Government...The Shall not have been redirected at us.
Funny thing about the 14th Amendment is it violates the 10th..Madison would vomit

Be assured that if this new provision [the 14th Amendment] be engrafted in the Constitution, it will, in time, change the entire structure and texture of our government, and sweep away all the guarantees of safety devised and provided by our patriotic Sires of the Revolution.
