Am not sure why they are stirring fear here - yet. The responses to this strain have been a typical nasty flu; but no more 'life-threatening' than other 'nasty strains' that have been visited upon us.

I hope Obama does not take this opportunity to facilitate a 'worsening economy'; and take civil actions that are not warranted.

Not true: We're talking about only a 6%-8% mortality rate in Mexico in the virus' current form, however 6%-8% is very, very high when then normal mortality rates for influenza is 0.1%. And the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak had a range of 2%-20%. Also a report from "Recombinomics," in March of this year showed that this year's flu (H1N1) flu was highly Tamiflu (and Relenza) Resistant and Vaccine Failures. Read more at Greg's Blog

Amen on that one, there does seem to be a Panic going on, press Conference going on right now.

I’m in Texas, I have the Flu now, started middle of last week and my worst day was Saturday....but that’s because it was tough to get sleep while Coughing. No sore throat, slight fever over 12 hr period, took some over the counter meds and I’m pulling out it now.

Didn’t throw up, didn’t have diarrerea, just Sinus Drainage and Coughing.

But I agree, no more threatening that last time I had the Flu, in fact, this was less threating.
