Julian Beever is an English, Belgium-based chalk artist who has been creating trompe-l'il chalk drawings on pavement surfaces since the mid-1990s. His works are created using a projection called anamorphosis, and create the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the correct angle.
Beever works as a freelance artist and creates murals for companies. He has worked in the UK, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Spain, the U.S., Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
Besides this pavement art, Beever also paints murals with acrylic paints and replicas of the works of masters and oil paintings, and creates collages. Amongst his other work are wood panelled drawings, usually themed around music, measuring 7 metres long by 1.5 metres high.

That was really cool! Brightened up my day!
Thanks for posting that site. I had posted a thread on Beever’s art earlier, but this site shows many more examples of his art. Just amazing!
Love his stuff. Thanks for posting.
Absolutely incredible.
Next time you hear a debate with some pointy headed “intellectuals” call Jesus in a case if piss a piece of art, you have this to compare it to.
This guy is amazing.
How does he do such things without an NEA grant? I don’t understand that. And beside, he should probably stop because when I compare my work to his I get to feeling bad about myself.
Leave it to Beever to come up with such nifty drawings!
