I’ve read a great deal about the religion of the Founders. GW was a much more religious Christian than is often claimed. In his first inaugural alone, the beginning was about God, the middle was about God, and the end was about God! As per the tenor of Protestant religions of the day, he was not a “fire and brimstone” /”born again” type; rather, he believed in a process of devotional dedication to the Lord. I fully expect to see him in heaven.
