How did it happen that so many Americans seem to hate their country? I know it’s a vocal minority, but it’s far larger than it should be. What did we let happen to the schools?

This is the liberal viewpoint:. “America is the problem, not the solution.” The downward spiral is gaining momentum.
Obama has attracted such an untalented lot to manage the major departments I’d suggest that what we have is a “regime” and not an “administration” with any of the meanings we’ve come to know.
Academia is the only place where Marxists find a home for their perverted ideology. Leftists propagated and multiplied in that ivy-hung hothouse to the point that they took it over. Nobody on our side seemed to be paying attention. Or we didn’t take it sufficiently seriously.
Here’s a novel idea: Let’s “take it back”.
That is something that was done even when we were kids on the playground. When some smarmy kid would do something “on your behalf”, without you allowing him to do so, you would “take it back”, which basically says, “You DON’T speak for me!”
Importantly, this is NOT holding him up as such a credible source that you are demanding that *he* take back what he said. Because *he* is just a “little kid”, and not very bright.
Instead, you are taking him down a peg by saying that he “doesn’t have the juice” to speak on your behalf. So you are “taking it back” from those he talked to.
So if Rush Limbaugh, or any public figure Republican wants to “take it back”, he doesn’t even bother to direct it to Obama. Instead, he puts it directly to those world leaders Obama debased himself in front of.
“Hey, Chavez! You dictatorial Parcha (lit. “passion fruit”, Venezuelan for flamboyant homosexual). What Obama said to you? Ha! You are nothing to us, other than a petty tyrant. We Americans hope the Venezuelan people grow tired of you, and kick you out of their country. You can wait on tables for a living.”
“Hey, King Abullah! While Obama may kowtow to you, none of our Christian presidents will do so. In fact, let us get back to you about the idea of building a big Christian church in Mecca.”
We were all out working at REAL JOBS instead.
I thought I was angry with Obama for being a communist, etc. But he is what he is, and we knew it. So where do I direct my anger? I’m turning my anger toward the lady across the street that voted for him. Obama doesn’t care if I don’t like him, but the lady across the street will get my “wrath” for the next 4 years. SHE’s the problem and all those like her.
That’s a great point. I keep telling people I am not surprised at all by Obama.
He is doig exactly what he campaigned on. If there is one good thing I can say about him, it’s just that. I don’t agree with any of his policies, but that’s why I didn’t vote for the guy.
And you’re correct, Obama does not care if you or I don’t like him, so long as the “majority” feeds his narcissistic ego.
