Now, this has occurred before with Bill Clinton, and it quite possibly could have been the same with Bush - the issue is how the MSM spins this and how it will report one way if you are affiliated with one party versus the other way when you have the scarlet R next to your name.
From Flopping Aces:
Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, begins Jennifer Democratic Operative Lovens AP report on Obamas surprise visit to Iraq on Tuesday.
Quite a contrast to the silent treatment Marines gave Obama at his Camp LeJeune speech in late February. Just how did Obama manage to fix that little problem?
According to a sergeant in Iraq :
We were pre-screened, asked by officials Who voted for Obama?, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up. [Via Macsmind.]
As supporting evidence for the digital-cameras part of the story, the sergeant (or Mac, cant tell which), suggests that the identical cameras can be verified in the AP photos. Looks right:
Now Compare that to a story on Bush:
FLASHBACK: How the press treated the merest impression of a staged troop response under President Bush, even when there was no actual manipulation
Remember this headline from 2005:
Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged
It dominated the headlines and the television news-analysis for days, and the fabricated scandal was utterly dishonest. The so-called staging involved no manipulation whatsoever. A group of soldiers who were scheduled for a televised chat with President Bush were caught on tape discussing ahead of time who would answer questions on what subjects. There was NO discussion of WHAT should be said.
Well duh
Not surprised. Did each soldier have a teleprompter too?
Source ... my friend (he was the best man at my wedding) who was there.
The very idea of the military giving a “darn” about Obama is absurd. He is about as ANTI-MILITARY as you can get, as well as anti-American. He will decimate the military as both the Carter and Clinton regimes did. To say nothing of his horribly weak stance on national defense. He is a clear and present danger to America and its freedom.
And how much do those cameras cost?
Good point. If they are digital...
AKA an anonymous source...
So if the cameras cost $200 ... probably a lot less though ... and they past out 100 ... probably fewer ... $20,000 ... cheap for a photo op ... how much did FUBO pay for his pizza
The MSM runs the nation. Now that’s both frightening and insulting. But it is what happens when good people do nothing in the face of tyranny.
Not really ... just about everybody at my wedding knows "Cosco Dave"
Stopped reading right there! That is complete and utter BS.
Remember that the MSM tried to float the story that Bush falsified a flight plan when Air Force One pretended to be another flight when contacted by air traffic control while they were secretly going to Iraq for the first Thanksgiving with the troops.

Oh, THANK YOU!!!! When I saw the “visit” to the troops by Obambi, I thought I’ve GOT to get to Freep to find out if there was a “behind the scenes story” because I KNEW from the Clinton yrs that NO ONE liked him and they had to be DRAGGED to see him. Couldn’t get on-line so thought I’d missed all the inside poop - NOTHING gets to me more than thinking the troopers are buying this crap from The One. Same with Michelle visiting military families - all after the “ air raiding villages...etc” comments during the campaign. Also thought the careful staging of Af-Amers behind him was interesting.
Hey, thank God for anonymous sources who are buds at your wedding - I know how it works in the military and “anonymous sources” work for me - hope he keeps reporting!!!! : )
They may have cheered, but it didn’t sound all that enthusiastic to me.
I’ll guarantee that he has FAR more credibility ... at least with me ... than any official “news” source
