We scientifically tested the premise that boys could fly. They can’t.

"We scientifically tested the premise that boys could fly. They cant." That's strange. It works okay in the dreams.
Dreams in Flight
Santa came to me one night, when I had gone to bed.
A time when I should have had some sugar plums in my head.
I was pretty little then, I knew not what to think,
I didnt really disbelieve, but I was on the brink.
I couldnt see how reindeer could have figured how to fly,
Unless they had the dreams that caused my brother and I to try.
An old bedsheet that had gotten a bit too tattered and too worn,
Some colors like a comic-book and a super-hero was born!
Oh, yes, we tried! But somehow, all our hopes kept getting dashed,
And all the schemes that didnt work, just ended being trashed.
The Air Force had just opened up the realm of wild blue yonder,
And seeing clouds still makes me pause, still makes me smile and ponder.
Whatever would have happened, if I had flown away?
Would living them have caused the death, of all my dreams that day?
If I had flown just as I wished, succeeding in my schemes,
Would I be now, this grown-up boy who still flies off in dreams?
