Hello fellow Freepers:
A friend of mine has just recorded this anti-spending / Obama rock tune. It's a professional job and I think it... rocks. He is at a loss as to how to market it and considering the subject will be dated soon - he's in a hurry. He has tried submissions to several radio shows like Rush. Not suprisingly - no response.
Any suggestions?

If it is good enough, it may go from here to the drudge. Once the drudge gets it, Rush and every one else will then take notice.
Put it on youtube. If it is interesting enough it will reach a tipping point and start to sell itself. You are doing the right thing in just spreading the word.

Great info everyone - but how could it be posted on YouTube if he doesn’t have a video? Do people watch music videos on YouTube? I’ll pass it on and maybe take a trip to youtube land and see what is there for music.
Excellent info - after looking through many of the items on your list I can see that video rules the net. Wow.
Specifically, it’s important to get uploaded on to Facebook , myspace, and youtube video/music.
Your friend makes a choice if the song will be distributed free or not, if free you can post it on various locations, it becomes a viral advertising campaign and it’s up to the musicians and their friends to pump the message out there.
