PING
That 1st part about gun control & world history is on a shirt that I own. Google it, and you will find that its for sale.
Take care,
BR
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?'
The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'
6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.'
7. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!
But wait, there's more!
I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did.
She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!'
She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?'
My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.'
To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.
I'm a firm believer of the 2nd Amendment...
The only thing wrong with your numbers is that China exterminated 60 million, not 20 million.
I wonder how many of the guns turned over in Australia wound up in the cop’s private collections .....
interesting
I fit a lot of the profile.
I’m old.
Own only one gun, 12 ga pump, and it is always loaded beside my bed.
A woman told me my house is dangerous with a loaded gun. My reply was only if you are trying to break in while I’m home.
Soon I’ll by a pistol.
Oh, BTW, I have about 500 rounds for my shotgun just in case the people breaking in are very determined.
I wonder how many of them ended up as black market sales to criminals....
ditto that too!
“The beauty of the 2nd amendment is that you won’t need it until they come to take it away”. Thomas Jefferson
An Australian type turn in law passed in the US? I think a great deal of JUNK would be collected by the brownshirts in charge. But they would have a very long wait for actual Americans to give up their guns and freedom.
Love your tag-line!
After READING the Constitution (suggested at the tea party I attended last week) and especially the Second Amendment - We need to get back to the PURE Constitution - no laws to limit any of the original amendments: Free speach is free speach. The right to bear arms is just that - the right with NO limitation by regulation. Just for starters.
I just bought another gun that I can control today. A Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum Model 27.
What is that saying from the 300?
Come and get them!
I have about 500 rounds of mostly number 2 steel shot and double 0, should hold me until help arrives.
Thanks stockpirate.
Very nice piece.
Recently picked up an SA-XD .40 myself..
It is and is one of the finest revolvers ever produced. I love its versatility and its awesome stopping power. Here is the picture:

This is the next piece I am going to add to my arsenal.

The .357 Magnum ammunition makes logistical sense.
