The queen touched Michelle first. Some might see this as a condescending gesture, the kind a superior might bestow on an underling. It is not in Michelle’s nature to let something like this slip by without a reciprocal gesture of familiarity. I don’t think Michelle stepped out of line. QE2 is not our queen.
