The Whiteboard
UPDATE -- SURPRISE EVENT:
Obama made an unannounced visit to Arlington National Cemetery for a Medal of Honor ceremony -- which the White House just left off of his schedule today. This was Obama's first wreath-laying as president of the United States. -- Carol E. Lee (2:35 p.m.)
COMING UP -- ROBERT GIBBS: Will he be asked...
1) How much of the presidents original proposals need to be included in the final budget for the White House to consider this a victory? Is he willing to compromise on cap and trade?
2) Why didnt Reuters or any of the major newspapers get to ask a question at the news conference last night?
3) Can you comment Geithner's comments to the Council on Foreign Relations, where he suggested that the U.S. is open to a new currency proposal by the governor of China's central bank? Geithner called it "evolutionary." What do you call it?
4) Can you speak to the events on the Hill today? Is the president closer to changing any minds on his budget proposals? (2:27 p.m.)
God bless the brave men who went to this ceremony in spite of Obama’s lack of respect for what they sacrificed.
Boy, THAT was a mean thing to say...
And true.
What an appropriate banner for Zero.
He has a lot of gall to even visit.
If the men who lay in that ground could rise for one day, the spit would rain down on the podium like a monsoon.
Love the additional picture. Not just the marvelous sign but it kinda looks like I was making a rude, crude gesture at zero and/or his henchmen. (For the SS record I didn’t.) Maybe all the blogging flak he got for being the first president to blow off the MOH inaugural ball made him decide to do this.
