The government’s plan is not working. We can see that in each and every passing day. Americans need a fresh start to a new life. We need the same help to get OUR feet out of the quicksand that the government is giving to the companies that they choose to help try to get back on their feet.
Unfortunately, the government can give all of the bailouts to these companies that they want, and it still will not work unless WE the people have the financial means to continue to add surplus to the economy so that it can thrive. Without WE the people doing so, all the bailouts given to these companies will NOT matter. Once the “patch comes off the hole”, the water will come in again, and then what? The government continues to patch the holes but NEVER fixes the real problem.
Fix the boat! And that boat is the DEBT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
BAILOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
The government should be bailing out the American people by paying down proportionate shares of our debts. WE will then be indirectly bailing out the same companies that the government is directly bailing out right now by paying down our debts. They would still be getting their money. But they would be getting it the fair, just and honest way. The way that is a win-win for everyone. We would have less debt and they would still get paid. But if we continue to do it the government’s way, and bail them out, while leaving us out, WE are losing it all. WE have nothing to gain.

I came up with a similar plan that gave $100K to each American over the age of 18yrs. However, your suggestion that “head-of-household” or each family(to me this means “married couples”)would receive the money, would cut down the over-all cost considerably. I had initially calculated the cost at near 10 trillion dollars, but by issuing the funds to single persons and married persons, it brings down the total funds that would be disbursed.
—maybe the new total would be about 5 trillion dollars.
I agree that we as a people need to take action as a group. That said, we need someone to actually write up the bill because no elected representative or senator will write it up-they just won’t! Need to check on format and submittal procedures:
*signatures required
*methods of legal signature acquirement
*getting the message out
