Is Press Falling "Out of Love" With the President?

This might have been the statement that cost John McCain the election:

"The fundamentals of our economy are still strong but these are very, very difficult times. I promise you we will never put America in this position again."

It was a statement that a leader would make.

Then candidate Obama's response was the equivalent of screaming, "OH MY GOD WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE"

Obviously the Obama Campaign was trying incite greater panic in the marketplace. And the rest of the campaign both Obama and the Press ridiculed McCain for that comment.

Today White House economic adviser Christina Romer was on "Meet the Press" she was asked if the fundamentals of the economy were sound, she replied: "Of course they are sound," basically the same thing as Obama camp used to bash McCain.

The really incredible part of the whole thing is that the media is calling out the administration for the hypocrisy:

No falling out of love for these bozos. It’s just a blip on the screen; they’ll prop him up in his chariot when it’s all over.

Oh, boy. There’s going to be hell to pay when Jon Stewart finds out about this.

Except that, when McCain said it, Obama had not yet caused the Dow to lose another 2,000 points.

Never forget--no matter how leftist the media leans, they remain a feral pack. If Obama seems to be coming apart, they will defend him to the hilt. But if that doesn't help, there may come one of those "tipping points" the liberal pseudo-intellectualoids love so much, and they will turn and pile on.

I don't mean that they are at that point now, they're not; but one can listen for rumblings on the horizon.

The media and President Obama are both upset. They mistook a one night stand, I mean, election, for commitment and love.

Oh please....
Now that their empty suit scumbag is safely elected and in office, the Democrat newsrooms are pretending to be "journalists" again. It's a con job. They did everything they could to get this assclown elected and they absolutely will not let him be portrayed as a failure. In two years they'll be right back to boosting his re-election. Count on it.

“Is the press falling out of love with Obama?”

I would say, “Not yet.” Not even close. When the TV and radio start to ignore his public appearances, then you’ll know. Right now its all Obama, every day Obama on TV and in the print media.

“The really incredible part of the whole thing is that the media is calling out the administration for the hypocrisy:”

Yeah, ok.

Tomorrow Obama can say the financial industry is in great shape. The media will parrot it and the market will go nuts.

All the weak ones who sold are now poorer while the wealthy libs will suck up all the bargains.

And the media will say how courageous the Messiah is as our grandchildren pay for it.

It will all be forgotten within a fortnight and they will have that tingling feeling up their legs again by then.

These liberal leopards don’t change their spots.

I guess sound fundamentals means broke banks and stock market dropping like a stone.

I think AIG’s $1.5 billion market cap will get wiped out this week maybe before the day is out Tuesday. The announcement about the bonuses was a telegraph to the shorts.
