I said nothing about giving them input. But if you were to make your argument to them they’d laugh at you. Probably point their fingers too.
Not to mention the angst!
I agree, La Mordida y corrupción.
To be successful a nation must have a foundation of truthful business transactions, fair rules of property ownership, uncorrupted Legal System, and stable currency.
We had them all at one time.
If we do not stop Obozo’s assault on the Constitution and our Legal system, we will be destroyed.
Ultimately it is Morals and not wealth, natural resources, or military might that preserve a nation. Much less build one.
I just got an email from our retired border agent friends. We were discussing guns, Mexico earlier and the thought the libs would use our 2nd amendment against us. Well, its already started.
Douglas Cohn & Eleanor Clift: Mexican drugs and U.S. guns

Just one line:
American arms dealers line the U.S. side of the border, supplying the criminal elements with weapons while the Mexican government, unable to fully employ its population, tries only half-heartedly to shut down its most lucrative export, drugs. The result is a closed loop that would be comical if it werent so tragic. The guns flow from El Paso, Texas to Juarez, Mexico, and the drugs flow from Juarez to El Paso. The arms dealers and their defenders fall back on Second Amendment rights to justify making weapons plentiful even as the product that is fought over and defended and distributed is banned in the United States.
____________
Now we’re ‘defenders’ of ARMS dealers who line up on the border!!!
Like I’d care what they think. I have roughly the same respect for their opinions that they have for mine.
Sure, build a wall and ignore what’s happening on the other side. Why should we care, we have a trusty wall to keep what’s over there from coming over here. And while we pay no attention, Mexico descends into anarchy. The United Nations responds by sending a peace keeping force. But we don’t get involved because we have our own problems; besides, we have a wall to keep what’s over there from coming over here.
So where are the peace keeping forces going to come from? Most of the forces may be from other Latin American nations, but the real leadership and control will be from the one world power with a keen interest in Latin America: China.
So one day, we will look over the top of our trusty wall and not see a banana repubic. We won’t see a nation of drug lords and corrupt politicians. All we will see is the Red Army of China. And it will be on our doorstep. Will our trusty wall keep that out?
So, if Mexico falls apart, we must respond. If we don’t, we might not like who does.
Usual suspects: Eleanor Clift
What do you expect from that bitty.
Strictly a mouthpiece for the idiot left.
I have never seen a thing in one of her articles that approached reality. Simply a self-loathing liberal screed.
YUCK!

Yuck, indeed. I haven’t gotten over the ol’ bat from the Clinton days. Unfortunately, she’ll get heard a lot more than our side. “Arms dealers lined up on the border”...man she can twist it, can’t she?
Guess you are not paying attention what is going on here. The economy is falling apart and an islamo-marxist....
The drug dealers in Mexico probably own many of our poliicians if not most of them.
Worse than that, if Mexico falls into chaos, how many of us can really tell the difference between a Pakistani, Iranian, or Mexican at first glance?
And “Nacht und Nebelsbefehl” won’t be any fun either.
Gee, why all of a sudden these Third Reich metaphors?
Watch for Limbaugh/Coulter/Hannity bookburnings. I’m not kidding.
Which is exactly why The One and Dingy Harry will do it.
They have power to gain and Ideology to fulfill.
To be sure, we live in “interesting” times, in the Asian sense of the word.
Historic times.
