These guys spend months at sea, with no port visits, far longer than any navy vessel other than subs. These incidents are rare enough that a naval detachment would be a complete waste of time. They would have absolutely nothing to do for long periods of time, no work outs, lousy food, no communications with home, the navy won’t do that.

This is the third incident with this vessel. If they are going to send them on a military mission...they better protect her. They could eaily temporary duty people in cuh incidents and have mounts that come on for such missions and off for others.

In addition, once it is cler that they are provoking and harassing her, as has been clear over the past while with this particular vessel, we should be keeping a much better watch over her, with either an FFG, a DDG, or some form of support nearer at hand.

IMHO, we never want another Pueblo and this is heading that way.
